Black Dressage Set

Proportioned to fit Nocturno resin and models of similar size.  Will also fit Breyer rider dolls.

This elegant dressage saddle is built on a handmade brass tree, which allows the seat to be shaped.  The base leather is a fine kangaroo with a soft cabretta leather for the seat and knee rolls.  The stirrup leathers are fully adjustable using working, tongued buckles.  The stirrups have white pads.

The black girth is made of matching cabretta giving it a padded appearance.  It is fully adjustable using working, tongued buckles and has 1/8" elastic on both ends.

WESTERN SADDLES

Western Roughout Roper

This combination, horse & saddle set, was requested by my daughter for her birthday gift.  Even though she isn't a "horse person", I think she has pretty good taste!

Western Roper Set

Rust-colored roughout roping saddle with matching breast collar.  Woven strand cinch, adjustable & turned stirrups, wrapped horn, simulated braid trim, correct latigo & off billet.  Braided bridle with curb chain, Rio Rondo curb bit and round-braid roping reins.  Saddle pad not included.

Custom made for Dean & Cindy Cole.

Western Roper Set

Natural Roughout roping saddle complete with strand cinch & breastcollar, turned stirrups, lariat and round-braid roping reins.  Saddle pad not included.

Purchased by Dorothy Gunzel

Birthday gift for my mother!

Bronc saddle set made for a friend.

My first saddle made from a Rio Rondo kit.

This is where I recommend new tackmakers start.  The kit taught me the basic construction of a saddle.  From there, I made changes and created my own patterns to enhance the realism.
